Not because the Dow Jones plummetted another 300 points. Not because GM is spiraling into a massive multi-billion dollar grave (and taking several world Governments with it). Not completely, but partially because the next generation actually likes the crap they are listening to. Not for any of these reasons are we doomed. We are doomed because tonight, Americans are too busy searching the internet for information about their favorite American Idol contestant then they are getting rid of their massive debts.

I think the human brain is fascinating. There are so many little things that just don’t make any sense about it. For instance. We all enjoy music, right? Even the most musically challenged idiot loves music. But why can’t everyone judge, even on the most basic level, what music sounds good and whats sounds like cats being scraped on asphalt?
